Upgrading the agent

How to upgrade the agent to the latest version

Do not install unstable release candidates. On our GitHub Download page, always use stable versions marked with a green flag. Release candidates are marked with a red "Pre-Release" flag. Don't use it.

CloudRadar Agent for Microsoft Windows

Depending on the already installed version the CloudRadar Agent cannot be upgraded directly. Under some circumstances a removal and a re-installation is necessary.

  1. Download the latest version for your operating system.

  2. Double click the MSI. In case the agent cannot be upgraded directly, a warning messages comes up, asking for the removal of the agent. Go to system settings->Apps & Features and click "Uninstall" for "cagent". The un-install process does not remove your settings.

  3. Double click the downloaded MSI again. The new version will be installed and all settings are taken from the previous version. You are done.
